I had a truly wonderful trip with the Alessandra and the crew from Panama to Colombia! When I first saw the pictures of this boat I immediately knew that this is the one I want to go with and I was not disappointed. The boat is unique, so beautiful and with a lot of space on deck to relax and enjoy the time. The crew is just lovely and Rudi is a great and experienced captain. We had delicious freshly prepared meals every day, including incredible ceviche from the fish we just caught. Overall I had a great time and I can definitely recommend this trip with the Alessandra! I really have to say that this was the most beautiful trip on a sailing boat I've ever experienced! The "Alessandra" is a very authentic and comfortable sailing boat with a lot of space. It matches perfectly with its captain Rudi, who is the embodiment of a true Pirate! Together with his wife and Carlos they cooked for the whole team every day. We got like 3 meals every day - one better then the other!! All the time we ate the freshest fish, which we had caught before by ourselves or which was brought to us by the Kuna fishermen who caught it just minutes before. The San Blas Islands were the most amazing islands I've evere seen in my live. White sand, turquoise water and palms everywhere...The great thing is that there is NO TRASH on those islands yet, which is awesome! Summing up: A 100% MUST DO trip!! Totally recommend! Sailing with Rudi on the Alessandra through the San Blas islands was an utterly incredible experience! The first three days were spent visiting a few of the islands. We were given all of the equipment to snorkel and saw amazing marine life- including dolphins! The boat itself is spacious on deck and full of character, you could climb the mast and jump off if you wanted to. Rooms below deck are shared, so I would recommend requesting a private room if you are travelling in a couple. Food cooked by Rudi’s wife Jamilla was amazing, mainly fresh fish and lobster caught on the boat or bought from the Kuna people. I would recommend bringing seasickness tablets for the final day when you are travelling to Colombia, the sea can get a little choppy. Travelling through San Blas on Alessandra was the best thing that I did in Central America, definitely recommendread more

We did the 5 days trip von Cartagena to Puerto Lindo on the Alessandra and can highly recommend the tour, boat, crew and captain. The boat is really big and offers lots of space for sleeping, eating and relaxing. Rudi is a great Captain and could also work as a cook. Seafood, pasta, risotto and lobster are only some of the delicious dishes he and his crew cooked. Do the trip on the Alessandra, you won‘t forget it!read more

The trip with Rudi (Alessandra) was amazing. It was my son and I who took the trip. We took off from Cartegana to San Blas islands. We spent 30 hours in the sea and Rudi was a great captain. His wife cooked some delicious sea foods constantly. The boat is big and spacious so you can have your own space. We went to different islands each day and Rudi made sure our experience was good. Rudy, his wife and Carlos were a great team and crew. The boat is spacious compared to many we saw including a sealed space on deck for when the rain came. many of the other boats we saw lacked this, and it was certainly needed. The cabins comfortable. small and warm, but considering you are on a boat. The food was fantastic, and there was loads of it, including fresh lobster on 2 evenings. Coffee on request. Around the islands Rudy always asked us what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. the open water is rocky, so definitely take sea sickness tablets, it is manageable with them. And well worth it.read more

We had an unbelievable trip with Alessandra to the San Blas Islands. the islands alone are really a trip worth. But Rudy and his crew made the whole trip completely Unforgettable. We were so happy to be on this boat. Rudy was helpful in every situation. he fulfilled every wish of his guests. The food is awesome and Rudi is a really experienced captain. The sea can be quite rough at times. So it is good to know to have an experience Captain like Rudi on your side to make sure the strip is safe at any time . if you go to San Blas, go with Rudi and Alessandra. We can highly recommend this crew and when we will come back to san blas Rudi is our first choice ! Thsnk you Rudi for this great time with you!read more

I wanted to travel from Cartagena to Panama by yacht so I could see the San Blas islands. I also wanted to travel during a certain time period. My first choice departure date was unavailable. While at the travel agents, I saw a photo of the Alessandra and knew this was the yacht I wanted to travel on. It is a classical single hull yacht and with its sails up, looks spectacular. The yacht also has a special history - ask Rudi about it. Furthermore, I was allowed to take my bicycle on board. The journey did not disappoint. We spent a wonderful time travelling through the islands, stopping to visit some of them while also swimming and snorkeling. One of my concerns was whether there would be enough to eat and drink. We had three great meals a day and there was plenty of food available. Although nearly at capacity, there is quite a bit of space so we were not too cramped up Rudi is an experienced yachts man and I will go with him again. I was not disappointed.read more

I had an amazing time during my 5 day boat trip from cartagena to porto lindo. This boat is so unique, it looks like a pirate ship and has really nice accommodations. On the deck they have a place to chill, lay down, hang macs and a big tabel to hang out with the other people. This boat has even a big rain shield so you even can be on the deck when it's raining, I even desided to sleep outside for a few nights. Rudi was our captain and his wife was helping him. 2 really nice people, they are always there for a smile and a joke. The foods on the boat.. Delicious and fresh made! Rudi is so inspiring as a captain, he knows so much about sailing, the San Blas Islands and he always surprised us with something new. We went to gorgeous beaches, koral reefs, he brought us in contact with the inditious people, we made a bunch fire, drank coconuts and so much more! This is a once in a lifetime experience and I enjoy it to the fullest! If you want to have a trip full of surprises, stories, experience on a beautiful boat.. This is defenetely the boat you are searching for!read more

What a trip!!! Firstly, Alessandra is stunning boat, not like any other boat we saw on the trip. A pirate ship with so much room the hang out, chill on your own, nap, eat, drink. The other boats we your stock standard catamarans or yachts that all looked very cramped. Did I mention it is a pirate ship? Rudi and Yamiela are an fantastic crew. They took us to some amazing spots around San Blas for lying on a beach, snorkeling, coconuts, bonfires, anything we asked for, Rudi always delivered. Also, the food was just fantastic. Be it fresh lobster, fresh fish, octopus, pasta, risotto, it was all delicious. We weren't expecting such great food on a boat, but you can see Rudi's Italian heritage coming through in all the food. They aren't cooks, they're chefs! We even asked for ceviche and he delivered an amazing feast, with fish that he caught off the boat right in front of us. Rudi is hilarious as well, great sense of humour, always cracking jokes, but at the same time keeping our safety and comfort at the forefront. He accommodated all our needs, whatever we asked for, we got (if it was possible). San Blas itself was a lot of fun as well, but we felt we got the most of it by being on the Alessandra with Rudi and Yamiela.read more
